The search is on for a new Group Manager (GSL) for 1st Berkhamsted Scouts

  could build and lead a team of key volunteers

  believes in developing young people and volunteers in your area?

 

The role:

The GSL leads the Scout Group, supporting other volunteers to provide great Scouting. This person, in partnership with the Group Chair, ensures that leaders are supported; the Group is well managed; and that there is a plan for growth and development. This means that the Section Leaders can concentrate on planning and delivering fantastic Scouting to young people, knowing that someone is overseeing the management of the whole Group.

It is not necessary to have had a management role in Scouting before, as there is specific training for manager roles.

 

Time commitment: The time commitment is flexible.  There is an expectation that you will be able to attend meetings of the Group Executive Committee every term, and keep in contact with the adult leader for each Section, as appropriate.
